    Botox® brand has been around longer than many other treatment options on the market today however it is formulated with protective proteins that a subset of patients may develop an antibody against over time, lessening the effectiveness of the treatment.

  • Dysport

    FDA approved in 2009. Dysport® has a higher rate of diffusion than other brands, which makes it ideal for treating larger areas (think: foreheads). Dysport®formula contains lactose and cow's milk protein - making it unsuitable for patients with milk allergies.

  • Xeomin

    FDA Approved in 2011, Xeomin® is unique in that it does not have the complex proteins that make one develop resistance. Patients who show signs of resistance with other commercially available brands may find success with Xeomin@ due to the purified state of its ingredients. Results from Xeomin® injections take 5-7 days to become visible and last a similar amount of time as other brands.

During your initial visit, the number of units injected is an estimate to temporarily weaken the targeted muscles. Our approach is to start with a conservative amount especially on your first visit since it's easier to add more if needed than to reverse the effects. Please allow at least 14 days after the injection to evaluate if additional treatments are necessary. This follow-up visit helps us gauge your response to the neurotoxin, make any necessary adjustments, and document your treatment for future reference.
